Brie’s a qualified nurse with Bachelor of Nursing and Health Promotion. She started her career in Emergency Nursing where she gained a post graduate degree in critical care nursing. She has always had a keen interest in research and working towards improving patient outcomes through new clinical treatments. This interest transitioned her career into oncology research where she worked as a clinical trial coordinator at the Olivia Newton John Cancer (ONJ) Wellness Research Centre.
The ONJ’s holistic approach to cancer wellness developed her desire to explore how she could improve patient’s outcomes through health and lifestyle changes. This led her on a journey into functional medicine.
Brie’s passion for improving patient outcomes has taken her on many research fundraising adventures, from shaving her head to climbing Mt Aconcagua in Sth America. Brie would love to see continued research done into holistic medicine and these advances becoming further incorporated into primary healthcare.
